Taking in the key highlights of Egypt - Cairo and the amazing pyramids, Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, the incredible temple of Abu Simbel - with some time to kick back and relax on Felucca boat on the Nile - this is the definitive 2 week tour of Egypt. We top your Egyptian adventure off with a few days to chill out at Dahab on the Rea Sea.
Day 1
Welcome to Cairo. Transfer to hotel and overnight Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo
Egyptian Museum and the awesome pyramids and Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Overnight train to Aswan.
Day 3: Aswan
Optional visit to the Philae temple with exotic Nubian dinner on a local island. Overnight Aswan.
Day 4: Aswan
Excursion across the Sahara to Abu Simbel! Board felucca this afternoon for cruise up to Kom Ombo. Overnight felucca.
Day 5
All day sailing and chilling on the felucca. Overnight felucca.
Day 6: Luxor
Visit the temple of Edfu on the banks of the Nile followed by a drive to Luxor. Optional excursion to Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple by horse drawn carriage. Overnight Luxor.
Day 7: Luxor
Early morning motor boat launch to Luxor's West Bank. Donkey ride to Valley of the Kings. Visit temple of Hatshepsut. Later, overnight train to Cairo.
Day 8: Cairo
Free day. Overnight Cairo.
Day 9: Cairo - Dahab
Travel by bus to Dahab on Egypt's famous Red Sea coast. Check-in to cabin style campsite (with en-suite facilities). Overnight Dahab
Days 10-14: Dahab
Free time to relax in Dahab. There's plenty to do in and around Dahab - snorkelling, diving, climbing Mt. Sinai and a visit to St. Catherine's Monastery. Overnight (4) Dahab.
Day 14: Dahab - Cairo
Today we return by bus to Cairo - Africa's largest city. Overnight Cairo.
Day 15: Cairo
Tour ends after breakfast. Transfer to the airport for your onward flight home.
